David Freeland – Chief Executive Officer
Our business’ DNA runs deep, and is driven by our CEO. David’s insistence on transparency and simplicity in all our applications and communication, allows us to deliver cutting edge solutions in the quickest, simplest, and most effective way we can.
David’s Background includes 5 years as an electrician where he quickly drifted away from focusing on his trade to learn the ins and outs of running a business from the ground up, and becoming the youngest executive within one of Australia’s leading crane manufacturing and service companies, focusing on improving businesses efficiency and profitability.
From electrician to CEO, David’s biggest passion is business: strategies, growth opportunities, operations, and business systems. David’s experience ranges from start-ups to established organisations across diverse industries including service industries, manufacturing, online business solutions and mobile communications.
Igor Zvezdakoski – Chief Technology Officer
Igor was 15 years old when he developed his first website as part of the (then) newly launched amazon.com affiliate/associate program – so he was always going to fit into our team of innovation nerds!
Igor is the master mind looking after all technical and product development for SMS Central. If there’s some way things can be improved/sped up/made simpler/better/easier for our customers, Igor’s on it. He has over 7 years’ experience in IT across its various functions and has a passion for innovation in business and strategy.
Andrew Fiori Dea - Director
An experienced executive with a record in delivery strong growth in both listed and privately held technology and telecommunications companies operating in Australia. From GM of MYOB Australia, Corporate advisory on Mergers and Acquisitions to CEO of Future Capital Investment Fund, Andrew has lead his teams onto recognition as leading businesses and brands in their markets.
As CEO of Future Capital, Andrew provides direct operational support and mentoring of the senior executive team of SMS Central, extending his knowledge and experience in strategy development, new business and fast growth, allowing us to travel the speeds we need to, to deliver the most advanced solutions for our customers –and he does it all with a smile on his face.
Domenic Carosa – Advisory board member
Even as a child, Domenic was fascinated with buying and selling things. He started his first business venture at the age of five, buying and selling postcards at the front of his parents’ house.
With over 15 years experience in business and technology, Domenic has built a reputation as one of Australia’s leading entrepreneurs. Dom, founded and Listed destra Corporation, at the time he was 24, still today the youngest CEO of an ASX listed company. Impressive right? We think so!
Dom’s experience and passion brings a depth of knowledge to the SMS Central business. Since his acquisition of the SMS Central business with David, Domenic has worked with the executive team through the growth and evolution of the business from messaging provider to an Australian leader in mobile communication. Dom brings a knowledge of strategy and deal flow to SMS Central and – we really love this bit – he’s all about innovation.
Dougall McBurnie – Advisory board member
Dougall has a reputation for devising technological strategies that allow businesses to grow quickly and increase efficiency through simplifying processes and systems. It’s a mouthful, we Know.
From Chief Architect at Crown Casino, director of technology for PBL group, GM of eBusiness at Coles Myer, CIO of Healthscope and now Director of Strategic relationships for DWS, Dougall brings an amazing knowledge and proven history in transforming information technology capabilities, which has allowed SMS Central to implement industry leading redundancy and scalability to the business.
